15 and Life to go

We’ve checked our calendars and gone through some very old dusty diaries and it’s celebration time at JAW Towers. Just Add Water is 15 years old today. That’s 15 years working on porting titles from one platform to another and working with partners to create new and exciting worlds and characters. So like the title says, 15 and Life to go, here’s to the next 15 years!

The Past

We could reminisce about the games that got us to where we are today, but you can read about those on the website – everything from the Oddworld remakes to Ice Age, Sniper Elite, and Doctor Who. There’s also some smaller titles that are no less important in the JAW story. We could talk in detail about the past 15 years, but we’d rather look forward to the future and the new titles we have in development that will make JAW so bright, you’re gonna have to wear shades. But as important as past titles are, it’s at times like this that we think back over the various people, teams and clients that we have worked alongside.

The Staff

To the people who have been here since the start, or the people who we have had the pleasure of bringing into the industry and mentoring them to the stage where they have risen within JAW or moved on to other things, the people with us now who are busy working on some incredible new titles. To the coders, to the artists, to the designers, to the producers, to the QA people, the animators, the audio technicians, and the non-devs who keep things ticking over while we battle with development cycles, new hardware etc. – We thank you for everything you do and are proud to work alongside you to drive the company to the next 15 years and beyond.

The Players

And of course, we wouldn’t have got this far without you, the people who play our games. So thank you, and we look forward to introducing you to a whole bunch of new and exciting titles in the coming months and years – there is plenty more to come.

15 years in the game development industry is no mean feat, many big names have come and gone in this time, and we are immensely proud of everything we have achieved in the past, and are still achieving now. We can’t wait to show you the next generation of games we are currently working on as soon as they are ready.

The Future

So to all our staff past and present, our players, our partners, families, and friends, we raise a glass to JAW’s 15th anniversary. If you liked what we did before, you’re gonna love what comes next!
